Aston Cricket Club
The Club plays on its own ground in Sheppenhall Lane, Aston. Established in the 1890s as Combermere Cricket Club, altering some time after to become Broomhall C.C.; the Club eventually became known as Aston   District Cricket Club during the 1920s. Until 1953 it played in the field at Aston four lane ends.

After the last war the Club played friendly cricket until 1977 when it joined, as a founder member, the South Cheshire Cricket Alliance and played two Saturday teams for 20 years before the Alliance was disbanded.

During this time the following honours were gained:

First Division Winners 1985, 1987
  Runners up    1982, 1984, 1986
Reg Boote Trophy    Winners 1985
  Runners up 1982, 1994
Second Division Runners up 1978, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1987
Densem Shield Winners 1984
  Runners up 1989, 1993

In 1998 the Club joined the Shammah Nicholls Cheshire Cricket Alliance. The 2nd XI were losing cup finalists in 1999. The Club also won the South Cheshire Midweek League in 1987 and the 2nd Division in 1996 and 1998.
