The scarecrow makers of Wrenbury are to be particularly thanked for their marvellous efforts during the 2007 Scarecrow Trail. This year's event was the most difficult so far, with both natural and man-made elements conspiring against us. UK viewers will not need reminding of the dreadful weather during June and July, and it is remarkable that so many scarecrows made their appearance with virtually continuous rain in the build up to the event. The garden gazebo was certainly this year's "must have" accessory! Having worked around the inclement weather, the upsurge in deliberate vandalism that we saw this year was an unwelcome development. It is sad that there are those whose own lives are so miserable and aimless that they cannot bear to see other people enjoying themselves. Cheshire Police are on the case, and developments are expected.... This year, we extended the scarecrow voting for the full two weeks of the trail, and this resulted in a significantly larger poll, so thank you to everybody who returned their voting slip. We are still waiting for the full results from Friends of Wrenbury School, but the clear winner was the superbly made Davy Jones, by Eleanor and Hannah Davies.

All the photos are available below. Because of the weather, we may have missed one or two additional impromptu entries, so if you have a picture, send it to us and we will add it to the listings. We have broken the scarecrow listing down into several pages, following the maps in the printed scarecrow programme. This stops any one page taking too long to download.
