Wrenbury's train service is provided by Arriva Trains Wales. On Mondays to Saturdays, typically 8 to 10 trains a day in each direction stop at Wrenbury to take passengers on to Nantwich and Crewe in one direction, and Whitchurch, Prees, Wem, Yorton and Shrewsbury in the other. Both Crewe and Shrewsbury provide excellent interchange facilities to other parts of the rail network. Occassional southbound trains go on beyond Shrewsbury, to give direct services to towns such as Church Stretton, Ludlow, Leominster, Hereford, Newport and Cardiff.

The Sunday service is extremely limited.

Note that Wrenbury is designated as a request stop, so passengers intending to get off here should tell staff on the train in good time, and those wishing to board should give a clear signal to the approaching train.

Wrenbury Station has been unmanned for many years, but passengers are able to purchase tickets on the trains.
